Repeat: Fists If the third-base coach hits the fists
together, the same offensive play(s) are on.
Players: When you are on base or at bat, look for a signal before every pitch.
When the third-base coach claps the signals are done. If you are given a
signal, place your hand on top of your helmet to let the coaches know you
understand what you are doing. If you are not sure of the signals, ask the
umpire for time and talk to the third-base coach.
It is critical that you know these signals! We can not put pressure on the
defense if you do not know what we are asking you to do offensively. If you
continue to miss signals, it will hurt the offensive play of the team. You
playing time will be reduced if you do not know the signals.
